Hi, mom2boys. I take an antidepressant, and am just monitored to make sure it doesn't kick me into mania.
The best way to deal with depression, although easier said than done, is to try to stay somewhat active. At least get up and go for walks. I go to places like stores and malls and enjoy the sights. Plus I write out positive statements and read them over and over, get outside into the sunshine, try to find things to make me feel better such as warm baths, good-smelling perfume, etc. Eat healthily and so on. And I also see a therapist to talk about things that are upsetting me.
