With a high IQ come many downsides, I am socially inept, I am Bipolar one, suffer from severe anxiety and PTSD. Nothing I would wish on anyone. I am shy, insecure, and needy. I don't seem to fit in anywhere. I think that while high IQ's don't guarantee mental illness, many people with IQ's over 100 do suffer some type of mental illness.
