No matter how many people I'm around and how many friends I have, I will always be lonely. I do not connect with the people of this world. So what's the point in even trying to make friends if you're just going to be lonely anyway? Why not just stay off by myself then?

The impossibility of me being able to ever actually connect with another person also makes it impossible for me to ever have a relationship, or at least one that gives me any amount of satisfaction. So not only am I lonely now, but I get to look forward to being lonely/alone my entire life!
