Here in NY (the one in the USA as opposed to other locations) ringing in the ears is called tinnitus. its a physical health issue and can be a symptom of ear infections, dehydration, medication over dosage, drugs and alcohol can also cause a persons ears to ring. as can getting hit in the ears cvausing perforated eardrums/ nerve damage to the ears.

I have this problem frequently and when I checked it out medical doctors, mental health treatment providers and audiologists, turns out there is no DID diagnostics nor Dissociation symptoms associated with tinnitus /ringing in the ears.

my suggestion contact your medical doctor, they can evaluate whether you are getting an ear infection or other ear related problems, or whether your medications need to be changed/adjusted or any other causes for the tinnitus (ringing in your ears)
