I am surprised the methylphenidate doesn't take care of it. When I had hypersomnia, that is what I took. I took 40 mg ER and was fine all day. Although, it was easy to build a tolerance. Went from 20 to 40 pretty quick but then 40 lasted a long time until I found out my antidepressant was causing the hypersomnia. As soon as I found that out I got off the antidepressant and methylphenidate all together. Haven't had hypersomnia since.
