I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs, have picked many up off the streets, and always went the extra mile to get them home, if I could.., if not I would make sure they went to a rescue or no-kill shelter..

This story I read just touched me so much, because of the love this woman has for her friends, and just because she went thru a very tragic time and made the best decision she could at the time for them, is being made to suffer more...she was a good pet owner per her vet, and they are so aged, why not let them spend the last years of their life with someone who loved them from the beginning of their life..an ex-president of the rescue organization is even going to bat for her..

When my young Merlie was critically ill with lymphoma I was going thru a divorce, bankruptcy, and removing my estranged father from life support, and in a world of hurt, desperate I contacted a rescue group too, because I could hardly bare so much pain on so many levels, but in the end, when I looked into his big brown eyes, I realized I could not let a stranger be the last things they saw..no matter the personal pain...I saw him thru until the end.

I just hope this organization has the heart to give these guys back and do the right thing..
