A friend of mine fell over while holding a small glass bottle. The bottle broke and shards of it went into the skin at the base of her thumb. She went to the doctor and they told her that all the shards were gone. But she could still feel something moving around inside. She was right. More pieces of glass started to work their way out of her skin. She went back to the doctor and they eventually got the rest of the glass out.
