*****GROSS TRIGGER WARNING****

I posted (in December I think) about my trip to the hairdresser and the anxiety it caused me.

Well, out of neccessity today, I braved the evil forces and off I went to the hairdresser. Everything was going quite well. The lovely young lady that washed my hair didn't even give me the head massage that caused me so much anxiety the last time I went. (Actually, I felt short changed as I still can't believe what I paid for this little escapade ...)

Anyway, the aforesaid lovely young lady had the sniffles. And I felt my skin start to crawl. I still have marks where my nails were digging into my palms. I kept wanting to tell the poor thing to go blow her nose. (My son doesn't even try to sniff in front of me - he just runs for tissues!)

Needless to say, after a few minutes of sniffing she tensed .............. I tensed (intuitively) and she sneezed. Right onto my upturned (having hair washed) face. And it wasn't pretty! Naturally she apologized profusely but I was pretty much at a loss for words. I think I muttered something about it happening to the best of us (good grief!)

I don't even know if I have recovered yet, but I will most likely wash my hair at home and just let them cut my hair using water spray bottle next time. (At half the price of course).

Oh well, at least my hair feels nice!
