I keep a long running to do list, so I don't forget anything, eventually.
Each day, I pick something off of it (or even a few thing off of it) to fit in between listing first the stuff I have to do do such as marking down things like appointments, obligations, and now work, first, then filling in what I just what feel like doing, can get done, and fit the rest in as I can. Or then there the days that feel like doing absolutely nothing but loafing when I wake up, sometimes I "schedule" that too for that day if don't have to be anywhere else.
