I think this is a situation that should have been considered before you signed a lease. Shots are NO guarantee that you will be OK around the dog. My brother has allergies and the shots only help somewhat. I understand that your girlfriend needs an emotional support dog, however, if she is unwilling to budge on this one you may want to reconsider the long term viability of this relationship. Yes, it takes more than love. This truly is one of those compatibility issues that should be worked out before going any further. That is, you have allergy issues from simply being around the dog and she needs the dog to help her disorder. Right now you probably think that you can put up with the dog, but chances are that the issue will become a wedge between you and the resentment will only build.
