Can you have your T or P-doc call your Dr. and talk with her about your fears?

They could give your Dr. a head's up on what might happen etc. as far as switching is concerned.

All you would have to do is sign a release form granting them permission to speak to one another and you might have already done that.

You could also tell your Dr., if you're comfortable, that you were abused as a child. (saw your post in another forum)

Dr.'s are well-prepared to handle that disclosure.

Taking a friend with you might help, just knowing they are right there in the waiting room might lessen the anxiety.

I'm sure others will have some advice too.
