Must be awful for those who have no support at present and are having such a high profile piece of news shoved in their faces... it's trigger central and stupidly irresponsible of the media (sorry, it makes me really mad so perhaps I have blinkers on, I don't know )

I feel kind of similarly, I mean I prefer to know...but also hearing about it is difficult. As though I am not actively suicidal I have been struggling with suicidal ideation past few weeks just not to the point of planning anything....but yeah initially hearing about it gave me thoughts i don't really want....but then the media is playing it up a crap load I have not watched the news or anything but I still am fed up about what I have heard of the media via a couple discussions on the topic via forums.
But yeah I don't think it is entirely a bad thing for therapists too take extra care to make sure their clients aren't struggling more with suicidal thoughts due to all the exposure to details of it. I hate to think there are manipulative therapists that would use it as an excuse to needlessly have someone go inpatient...but there probably is, I am sure a lot though would be looking out for this out of concern not to try and force hospitalize them just because.
