I am in the U.S. but I've never heard of a crisis unit. I think I might know what you are referring to though and my insurance isn't accepted. . I will look into it though and let you know. That said, my doctor works for a hospital so when I was previously hospitalized, it was at her hospital so she could still control my meds. This was nice but I was also there with patients who were much sicker than I was at the time (a lot of psychotic patients) so it was a bit overwhelming. The only other time I was hospitalized inpatient I didn't feel as overwhelmed by the other patients (could be because I was much worse and much younger though).
