I just want to give an update on my withdrawal from Abilify and all psychotropic drugs.
I realized that 2.5mg abilify is still a full dose and I need to eventually be in liquid form. I am currently on 2mg abilify and I plan on tapering every two weeks or so with Zyprexa as a backup. Thankfully I haven't had to use the Zyprexa in 3 months but the psychiatrist said that I am still not out of the woods if I had to use the Zyprexa that long ago.
So my new taper from Abilify schedule is 2 mg until September 6
1.67mg until September 20
1.33mg until Oct 4
1.0 mg until Oct 18
0.8mg until Nov 1
0.6mg until Nov 15
0.4mg until Nov 29
0.2mg until Dec 13
0.1 mg until Dec 27
Then off after Christmas if able
Any thoughts out there?
