I too have experienced pychosis twice in my life and the last one was severe as well. Really scary moment for me and my family. The second one was a couple of days after I gave birth and it frightened me so bad that I didn't think I was going to make it and thought I was going to be institutionalized for the rest of my life. For nearly two weeks I was separated from my newborn. Somehow I gained the strength to overcome the challenges. It took me a year after my son was born to commit to seeing a therapist and accepting my disorder. Very few know about my condition and what happened to me. It's comforting to know that I'm not lane and finding this support group.
