Is the pain a long term thing or short term?

If it were me and I needed them short term I would take them as needed until I didn't need them anymore then taper then put up with the short term withdrawal if there is any.

I am a recovering addict but needed them for kidney stones and a couple of other times. I just made up my mind that when the script was gone I would not think about it anymore and put up with being a little uncomfortable for a bit. This was Vicodin and Percocet is stronger.

You would want to be on it the shortest time possible. Only you can answer if you still need it for the pain.

I wonder if the body or brain creates pain falsely to get more of the drug??? I kinda doubt it.
