That's awesome that you are trying, Cat! Usually with a resume- you really want to emphasize your accomplishments & how they related to your new job vs a rehash of what you do everyday. Let me know if you need any help.

You may want to consider building some relationships with local non-profits in your area so you can make some contacts with social services professionals in your field of interest. Make a point to research the non-profits- if one doesn't list an internship program- then consider approaching the volunteer manager about creating an internship opportunity and provide some concrete suggestions on what you can do. Even if the internship is unpaid and you're only able to commit 5 hours a week to it- it'll help your resume stand out.

It sounds like you're doing a lot of right things- and your effort will pay off if you keep trying.
