I saw my pdoc today and he wants me to do a short-term residential program through our county's mental health group. All I really know about it is that it's 5 - 14 days in duration depending on your needs, and it's a way to manage mental health crisis without being completely inpatient.
There are various groups, including a crisis DBT one, and you supposedly see a therapist every day. I had a crisis interview today and they are open to admitting me to the program when I'm ready.
Has anyone been through a program like this? Can you share your experiences? I'm definitely in crisis mode, missing another day of work today, and I definitely need major help. Thanks.
