Caffeine addiction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Caffeine withdrawal is unpleasant, and that is one reason why individuals who have developed a tolerance to caffeine require a cup in the morning to feel alert. It can take up to two weeks for withdrawal symptoms to pass. I'd recommend speaking about this with a psychiatrist.
When I quit caffeine it took two weeks for the headaches to stop.

I also learnt that it was not just a coffee habit, but part of my routine, get up, get dressed, have my coffee...now I drink decaf green tea, and I can keep my routine (hope that makes sense)
