babs92 - Lamictal™ (lamotrigine) is a very good choice for many with bipolar II, but everyone is different and it is almost impossible to know what will work. There is no way of telling if something will work or not until you have tried it and given it a chance to take effect. One usually needs to take a med for a month or two before giving up on it; it takes time for your body to adjust to the drug, and for it's full effect to be realized.
