For me, I have only felt like that when severely depressed with psychomotor retardation/catatonic stupor. There were little to no thoughts that I was aware of. Talking was too much effort, as was moving, and time passed without me realising how long I had been sat in one position without moving. I remember very little from that 6 week period other than grasping for thoughts in my head but them being just out of reach.
I don't know if that was helpful information for you. I don't think mine was medication related and I, thankfully, haven't been that slow since either on or off meds. Is this slowing of thought associated with any other symptoms? Do you have a psychiatrist or therapist to talk to about this?
