I was trying to change from Seroquel to abilify but the abilify made me very agitated (sorry, if I'm repeating myself from other posts). I was surprised that the psychiatrist on call was so quick to know that the abilify was to blame, even though I already knew it. Psychiatrists don't always know or maybe it's just that they are not so intimately aware of the side affects of a medicine as well as the patient. So, he started increasing the Seroquel again - last night it went from 200- 400. I take it as an anti-psychotic. When it was doubled to 200, it knocked me out so bad that, even though I was awake with my eyes closed, I couldn't talk or move. My 14 yr. old nephew was being goofy and making fun of me. I wanted to laugh, but couldn't. He could have put underwear on my head and tomato sauce on my face, and I'd have been helpless!

Anyway, I didn't know that an increase in Seroquel only made it longer-lasting. I want to change to something else, again, but my psychiatrist is soooo slow and gradual about making changes. Smart I guess, but it takes a lot of patience for me.

Sorry for rambling. Is that ok to do on this thread, when it relates to the topic?
Thanks for this!
