Usually on ANZAC day, if we are home, we leave the tv on to watch the march to the shrine in Melbourne.
Even if we end up at an ANZAC bbq, the telly is on to watch the march. We have a drink for the boys and girls of the ANZACS who lost their lives to provide us with this blessed life we have.
My grandfather was an ANZAC, so ANZAC day has that extra meaning for me.
Though the day is filled with pride, it also can be tinged with the sadness that we lost so many of 'our own'.
Today, my heart is also with the Aussie soldiers who are currently serving oversees. The hope is that they all come home safely.
