I definately get a pdoc to evaluate you, GP's can't substitute for a pdoc. I too, for several years my family doc had been trying different AD's, that obviously weren't addressing my form of depression while at the same time my mild bipolar (BP-II) was missed, till a rough life event triggered it big time.
Definately take this up with a mental health professional, and try soon, this way you do not delay getting proper treatment, the sooner the better.
This of course, is just my own, personal opinion which I'm basing it on my own personal experience.
