I was feeling the EXACT same way recently. I enjoyed my co-workers and my job, but the higher-ups were driving me crazy.
I ended up turning in a 2 weeks notice and I my last day was April 10th. I have not found another job, in fact I am relishing the fact that I don't have to answer to anyone right now.
I am planning on finding something else, but am glad that I have some savings to play with.
If you don't have anything saved, I would wait til you find another job.
If you are OK financially, then I would say think about your options and don't make a rash decision.
You might need the recommendations from others in your work place.
One thing I noticed, when I turned in my two weeks notice, they were begging me to stay. At that point, I told them that I was not willing to stay. It felt really good to know that I was valued, but also made me think that they are really going to be screwed when I leave!
Anyways, good luck with whatever decision you choose.
