I'm not looking for sympathy, but then I seem to have bad luck in this regard.

I think I'm a bit naive in honesty, since I know in more or less all other spheres to shop around. but then to me medicine is and can be life and death, so I place higher value on their competence. I'd take poor treatment in McDs or a department store over a doctor's office.
