First off I'd like to say to PC!

I think that's a really good point you've brought up about how much value we place on health care professionals, and they should be held to a higher standard. We are valuable human beings. So it looks like the goal is to find the ones who don't abuse this, but rather respect it and honor our trust. It doesn't seem like it should be so hard, and in my humble opinion it shouldn't be, but until all health care professionals are on the same page and can respect our trust and sincerity it would seem it makes it all the more important to find ones that are a good fit for you as it is for each of us.

I'd encourage you not to give up your search. There are good and respectful ones out there waiting to help you; ones that are willing to meet you right where you're at personally. Kuddo's to you for recognizing the kind of folks who aren't a good fit for you! Not everyone seems to recognize or honor that!

Keep up the good work!!

I think I'm a bit naive in honesty, since I know in more or less all other spheres to shop around. but then to me medicine is and can be life and death, so I place higher value on their competence. I'd take poor treatment in McDs or a department store over a doctor's office.
