Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Tomorrow the US celebrates Labor Day. Most have the day off from work, creating a three day weekend. It's kind of viewed as the end of summer here. Back in the day school started the day after Labor Day. Now, in my state, school starts some time in August. Traditionally folks rest and have a picnic.
I'm wondering if other countries have a similar day. Please tell us if your country has something similar.
