Yeah I was maybe at most 4 blocks away from the Boston marathon bombing. There were rumors of other bombs planted throughout the city. It was beyond horrifying and basically everyone in my building had acute stress disorder from it. I mean we were standing right where the bomb went off the day before. Someone I know was hurt from it. She's doing great now and is running again and everything.

But yeah that's just scary and I totally get the anticipation fear. There was a rumor that a bomb was found outside of Berklee school of music and that's super close to us and we were terrified for weeks. It turned out to be a hoax. Our fear didn't decrease. Two weeks later "a bomb" was found outside our school. Nothing was found and rehearsals resumed that morning lol music school. But the fear that they missed it really lasted until the school year ended.
