I don't have little ones - anymore, although they'll always be my babies.  I totally agree they are a blessing!
I recall those days when mine were little, and yes, it can seem socially isolating especially when you don't have many friends with little ones as well.
I don't know how old yours are, but have you considered getting them into some kind of extra activity or activities? My two bestest little buddies (who are growing up very quick) are in numerous activities such as various sports throughout the year, a music class where they're learning the keys, and one is even in a gym class to burn off his extra energy (he has ADHD) just to name a few things they're parents have them in. They do have a privileged life, and have all sorts of opportunities available to them that many don't have, but guess the point is there are all kinds of activities out there (far more than I've mentioned) to get our children involved in, even if it's just one right now, and who knows, you may even meet a few new friends along the way.
Even getting infants into a reading program at a library isn't a waste of time being as their little developing brains are taking everything in!
It's also a blast to watch the wee ones have so much fun in the process, but there are also other countless benefits to getting children involved in extra activities. Eg: Learning a musical instrument helps them develop both sides of their precious brains more fully, helps with coordination as well as helps with memory retention just to name a few of the benefits. Reading helps with cognitive development, memory retention and more. Sports help them learn how to work with others plus help develop their growing bodies as well.
Hang in there. They won't be little forever! I recall by the time my hit high school how I wished they were little again (and still do sometimes). They grow up way too fast, in my humble opinion.
