As some of you may know my dad is my payee for my SSDI check and I don't like it. Well I took this class at my church called Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. Well I graduated last Sunday and my dad and I were talking about it on Monday when he asked me how graduation went. Well I thought this was a great opening for me to talk to him about me doing my own money. I was going to wait until he got done with chemo cuz I thought there was going to be this big ole argument about it and such and he doesn't need that right now. Well I told him I would like him to teach me how he does my money the system he uses etc so that when I graduate from school in December I will be doing my own money by then. All he said was ok. I about fell off the couch with shock that he was so agreeable to it. I really didn't expect it to be so easy I figured there would be a big fight and I would have to be nasty and go to the SSDI people and tell them he wasn't to be my payee anymore that I would do it on my own etc but I am very happy right now cuz soon I will be a grownup doing my own finances.
