'o.O That seems very strange. Noway in hell should a doctor claim someone is "ill" for not having the same belief as them; that's grossly out of order. Are you seeing a regular professional, or like.. a special religious-focused one? I'd recommend a regular one, to be honest. Nothing wrong in having a belief, but pushing it on mentally unwell people is so disturbing, IMO.
