So I thought I would give this a shot. My name is Nick and I just moved to the DC area from Michigan.

I just started this new job right out of college and it is directly related to my major. So far, I have been making a lot of new friends and I love it in this area. However, I do not feel secure with my job.

I always feel like I am not doing a good enough job in my position. With that being said, I have this chronic fear that one day my supervisors are going to get the idea that they can find somebody better and decide to let me go.

I don't know how to cope with this. Throughout my life, I have always wanted to move away and start a new life in a big city. Right now, I have that, in that I am going out a lot on weekends, making a lot of new friends and having a lot of fun here. It is like a dream come true (as cheesy as it sounds).

I can't imagine moving back home to Michigan if things go bad. My biggest fear is not that I will lose my job and not have a source of income to pay the bills, but that I will lose everything that I have worked for and have always wanted.
