I was almost at my T's office today and saw that some road work was being done. I pulled onto the road leading to their parking lot and saw the cones and realized I couldn't go any further. I looked all around me and saw no one so I backed up through the turn-in so I could turn around and park else where.

I pulled into a realty parking lot and a sweet looking grandma type lady pulled in beside me. I'm thinking great! I won't have to go in to ask if I could park there! I can ask her! I was afraid I might be towed.

She got out of her car.
I got out of my truck.

Me: Hi!

shedevilhatefulperson: DO YOU KNOW I ALMOST HIT YOU?!

Me: (totally surprised and embarrassed) Oh my GOSH! I'm SO sorry! I didn't see you!...

shedevilhatefulperson: YES! YOU TURNED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! AND I COULD HAVE HIT YOU!

Me: I am so sorry. I do apologize... (I really was sorry)

shedevilhatefulperson: You DO know that I had right of way because I was making a right turn and you were making a left!!

(I wasn't turning. I was backing up.)

Me: Look, I'm really sorry. They are doing road work and no one can get in. I was only looking for somewhere to park. I didn't mean to... (she cut me off)

shedevilhatefulperson: I had the right of way and you turned right in front of me!!!

Me: (SOOOO PO'd) Look. I already apologized. You can.... (she cut me off again. I was going to calmly tell her what she could kiss.)

shedevilhatefulperson: Why are all these cars here?

Me: (again) They are parked here because road work is being done and no one can get through. I have an appointment a few... (cut off again!)

shedevilhatefulperson: Well WHERE are you TRYING to get to???

Me: (in the best psycho expression I could muster) THERAPY!

shedevilhatefulperson: (speaking softly now, finally) oh...well ...
(then she takes about four steps backwards and turns to get inside asap!
