Hi, sweetestkisses2580, and welcome to Psych Central! I am glad you did realize what kind of relationship you were in and were able to get out. Some people are not able to leave because they are scared of what might happen to them or they have no place to go. It's sad.

Yes, these abusers need help. I just hope more and more folks will be able to pick up on signs of potential abusers when they enter a relationship.
