I have considered studying for a General Arts and Science Diploma. I am 21 (almost 22) and just started taking university classes last year (I am studying part-time- I am currently enrolled in Bachelor Of Arts, General Studies). I was
previously enrolled in a Medical Office Assistant program, but I decided to
withdraw from it for the first semester, and now I doubt it completely for
a lot of reasons (I have no interest in science and subjects like Biology or Physiology, for example, which would be part of that program, and the job itself would not suit me- I am very introverted, and I can't imagine a job where I would have to deal with people all day long- I wish I was more extroverted, but because of my health and also my personality, I'm very quiet). I am very well-organized, have a high level of writing ability, and
have strong interests in the humanities and social sciences, however, I
am not really sure how to apply these qualities to a career (especially
because I am not planning on pursuing a four year degree anymore).
Like I mentioned, I have considered working toward a General Arts and Science Diploma, but I am not sure if this will help me get a decent paying job or not either, so it would be somewhat risky to do given that I want to complete my education in 2 years or less. I have considered many options for post-secondary education, however, I have not been able to find any career-oriented program that suits me, and I would certainly rather have a General Diploma than no post-secondary credential. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
