A little snark keeps the board vibrant. You don't need to protect us! While it has occasionally gotten out of control in some threads, I think that respectful, non-malicious confrontation and questioning (not just of others, but of oneself) make the conversations interesting and worthwhile. It is nice to have one's pain met with empathy but I feel more engaged and learn more when threads move to the next level.
