Situational depression is helped by meds...my bird just died and I'm happy....I'm still hallucinating which means I have something seriously wrong....still happy....why? I just hit 1 month of abilify....that's how long it takes 4-6 weeks for mood effects....it's kind of freaky actually.
If you don't start meds now it's going to be another month until you get any mood relief....it might break up the psychosis sooner but if you want your AD to work you'll need to start it now.
So in a couple weeks when you're really in pain I'm going to ask why you didn't listen to us now and tell you to go to the hospital again because that will be the only choice at that point just like meds or meds plus therapy are the only real choices now.
Also don't feel you need to lie about meds on here we want you to take them but we'll still be there for you if things crash if you don't....
