I'm going to read the article when I have more time, but the title of this post caught my eye. I remember going to the ER in early 2013 because of a particularly bad psychotic break and when they saw "schizophrenia" on my records they looked at me like I was automatically prone to violence and all sorts of BS. I was too ****ed up at the time to get angry about it but yeah, stigma is live and well and "schizophrenia" does seem to be a dirty word to many people still.
