There is no 'typical' age for onset of temporal lobe seizures. There is an enormous variety of epilepsy syndromes; some of them have age ranges for onset, but most others don't. Some seizures are caused by abnormalities in the brain itself.. head injury... malformations of various types.. space occupying lesions... various types of bleeds.. and more. But for most seizure disorders, there is no known reason.
