The 0.5 mg drop value corresponds to 10mg/ml not the 10mg/5ml bottle.
If you assumed the dropper dispenses the same amount in North America and the UK then:
In the 10 mg/ml bottle 1 drop is equal to 0.5 mg so 20 drops would equal 1 ml. 0.5 mg x 20 drops = 10 mg/ml.
The 10 mg/2ml bottle reduces to 5 mg/ml. If 20 drops equals 1 ml then 1 drop is equal to 0.25 mg. 0.25 mg x 20 drops = 5 mg/ml
It is best to talk to a pharmacist about this.
