I can sort of relate. How to put this tactfully... I tend to want to isolate due to a basic difference in worldview, interests, and how people should interact. There is much stupidity and assholery in the world out there. It get tedious going along and disregarding all the crap just for the sake of being polite.

Buying into. Maybe a little bit but I think it is a general thing of having goals. The idea of a fulfilled life. One who has a goal or plan for their life. Which I don't. I isolate because people tend to have a rather poor view of people like me. I can't seem to connect and would rather sit in the corner with the dog all night.
