I've been on topamax for 2 days now and I am exhausted, even on caffeine which I am sensitive to. I am on it to counteract the weight gain from seroquel. I'm am 5'3" and got up to 205 lbs a few years ago because of Depakote. Then I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and went down to 170 lbs, I wasn't on the Depakote anymore I was on seroquel. When I was 205 and 170 on seroquel I could not lose any weight no matter how hard I tried. Diagnosed less than a year ago with pre-diabetes and went on metformin, no weight loss. Went off seroquel in March and lost 30 lbs until recently when I had to go back on seroquel because no matter the medicine I just wasn't stable and I gained about 5 lbs so far so now I am at 145. My doctor put me on topamax to lose the weight, he's knows I am sensitive about the issue. I would like to get down to 125, I would be happy there. I'm just so sensitive about my weight. Growing up I had to go to the doctor because I couldn't gain weight and now these stupid meds are causing so many problems.

I am looking for people with experiences.

First, like I said I am exhausted throughout the entire day, does this go away?

Second, for those who happened to lose weight, how long did it take to start losing weight?

Sorry everyone about this post, I know I posted about topamax a few days ago. I'm just looking for some answers.
