I believe mania and grandiosity makes them easy pickings for a psychopath. Psychos use military grade cunning to manipulate anyone they choose, but when they encounter a bipolar who is actively manic, they know he or she is an easy target: because they are already thinking in a godlike mode - they have left planet earth in other words, so a psychopath can take full advantage of their disconnected state.

A psychopath's undermining tactics is something I've fallen victim to many times. Care to offer up any examples?

Sure, here's a great example: My wife physically assaulted me one night after I told her I didn't want any children with her. She stormed out of the house and went to her place of business (because she had a key to it)). Well I was worried about her, because she was having a psychotic break, and she made suicidal gestures also. So I headed up to her work, because I knew that's where she'd be, and on the way there I called the police just in case she needed restraining. So I arrived shortly after she did, but I just stayed in the car. When the police arrived, I got out of my car to tell them more of what was going on. Two of the four officers headed straight to my wife and I just stood by the others. Now my wife was a beautiful woman, I'm sure that didn't hurt, but after talking to the police for just a couple of minutes, they walked out to me like I was the aggressor and kindly asked me to leave, that my wife was fine. She had flipped them like a regular Hannibal Lecter and they believed everything she said, she told them that I was bipolar and was off my meds.............so you can see just how quickly a borderline psychopath can manipulate...........in my opinion they are far more cunning than a bipolar.
PS: we went on to have 2 children....
