I self medicated with alcohol too, without even knowing. Before my Dx.
Stopped drinking thought my problems were over. Then I got worse in ways, and better in others. I didn't have my "easy" relief but not as self destructive & pure chaos.

Alcohol and meds - be careful. Bad mix for me when they thought I was "just" depressed.
