This is on its way to being resolved, all the separate issues. I wrote the internship person to tell her this news and may not pass the background check. She was supported but said she'd have to see about it.

Then I ended up with an attorney who offered to expunge my record. And I have 8 hours free time to do so. That means nothing will show up the next time. It takes a while and is sometimes difficult but he didn't sound like it would be.

I also found out there are free legal advisors that I have access to that oversee what I do. So I called and asked specific questions and got good advice.

Everything is still in progress but I don't feel like it is impossible.
