I know that alcohol is not recommended when you are on anti-depressants, but I did a little research and found that it isn't recommended because being on an anti-depressant can increase the effect of alcohol. I seem to have experienced a decreased effect. Anyone know why this is or have a similar experience?

This is pretty interesting. I am on Wellbutrin ( actually raising my dose starting tomorrow) and I have been on a few other AD meds, and honestly I usually drank on them. Welbutrin, on the label says you should not, but I usually don't got past 7ish shots. And if anything it somewhat adds to the effect.
I think I read somewhere that one reason it is not recommended to drink on AD meds is because it could have an effect of hitting you all at once, once you have had a few too many.
Either way, be safe and take care!
