I'm not in Canada, but I know something about what keeps people from being charged with non-compliance with medical treatment, wherever they happen to be. Get it documented that you cannot tolerate the Latuda, due to side effects. That means talking to a doctor about it. No program can mandate that you take any medication that is adversely affecting you, but you need a paper trail to substantiate that. Programs look askance at people who are trying to act as their own physicians.
A doctor will tell you to stop taking a medication that is having unreasonably troubling side affects. Then you can stop, without being non-compliant. Sometimes you have to repeatedly complain to doctors before they will get it that the med is doing more harm than good. But, eventually, they do have to listen.
