Hey guys, I'm not quite there yet (I'm 31), but I've been depressed all of my adult life, and I've been through all the antidepressant drugs out there and mood stabilizers and anxiolytics, and a few years of boozin.

I finally found one thing that always works - exercise, the more intense the better. It really gets all the juices flowing, triggers endorphin release, and, not to mention, all the other physiological benefits. Once I started lifting, I started to look younger than I looked before ! At 18, I had kind of a belly and a big face and I looked like I was 30. Now, at 31, just yesterday, a 28 yr old gal told me I look like I'm 26.

Psychologically, it has helped me tremendously with depression, insomnia, anxiety, low self-esteem, ... It really is the miracle drug, if you ask me.

So, I guess my suggestion to you is - find a form of exercise you would enjoy and be able to sustain. Lifting weights is what I live for, but most people can't stand it. Maybe tennis or hiking or whatever ... meetup.com has a lot of great fitness groups, and all other kinds of groups as well.

I really encourage you to give it serious thought, if you haven't already. It changed my life forever. Best wishes.
Thanks for this!
