Hi everyone.
I interviewed for a non profit about a month ago. I thought the interview went really well. I was told they would contact my references the following week. Two weeks later I check with one of my references and no one has contacted them. The third week I send a check-in email asking about the time line. This week, the fourth week, they finally give me a a response. They will not be offering me a full time position. Instead they want to check if I'd like to be considered for a less than part time position. Why are employers allowed to do this?! They would not communicate with me at all about the process during the weeks that went by. I offered to set up an appointment but they didn't seem to want to do so.
Ultimately, I feel dumb for waiting on them for a month and for not applying to more positions. I also feel like my anxiety and BPD kept me from applying. Yet, I feel like that's a big meaningless excuse. I'm exactly where I was a month ago.
